Daily Weather Brief for February 4, 2026

Today’s Houston weather brings cool temperatures, spotty light rain, and a steady breeze. Many residents across Houston will notice the cloud cover holding firm through much of the day, while conditions stay calm overall.

Cool Temperatures and Light Rain

Temperatures stay seasonably cool from morning through evening. Morning lows hover near 52°F before climbing to a daytime high around 66°F. Although the rain stays light, it may linger in brief rounds. The total expected accumulation is only about 0.02 inches, so impacts remain minimal.

Cloud cover sits near 66%, which helps keep temperatures steady. Even so, conditions should ease slightly by late afternoon. Evening temperatures fall into the low 60s before dropping to about 56°F overnight.

Breezy Conditions Across the Area

Winds increase through midday as they push from the north. Sustained speeds reach around 13 mph. Gusts may climb near 28 mph. Because of this, residents may want to secure light outdoor items. Roads stay dry for the most part, yet brief drizzle may create slick spots.

These winds also help move cooler air into the region. As a result, the day feels crisp compared to last week.

Air Quality and Additional Notes

Air quality stays in a healthy range today. No alerts are in effect for the region. While the rain is minimal, it may help clear pollen and dust from the air.

We are not tracking any severe weather. No winter weather impacts or tropical concerns exist for the Gulf at this time. As always, residents can check updated conditions at Houston Weather.

What to Expect Today
